Patent Pending Aerial Seed Dispersal System

Embracing technology to protect our coastal regions

Deployment Device in Testing

Our drones utilize an innovative two-hopper system, protected by our patent pending technology, designed specifically for the delicate dispersal of seeds or material. This cutting-edge system employs a soft, low RPM disk mechanism to ensure gentle and uniform distribution. This precise and controlled method of dispersal not only maximizes efficiency but also minimizes disruption to the surrounding environment, showcasing our commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly practices.

Sample Flight Plan for Deployment

This is a simple example of a flight path to show how our drones systematically spread material. The drones are programmed for operational efficiency and to return to be refilled when needed and go back to to the exact stopping point to continue finishing its task.

Cost Effective

Up to $80,000 cheaper is a big claim to make. This number comes from a side by side comparison between two clam restoration initiatives overseen by the University of Florida Whitney Labs. One project involved aerial seeding of young clams in high quantities and the other involved the traditional method of spreading larger clams by hand. When comparing all costs including the clam stock, protective gear, site monitoring, and site maintenance, the total cost for aerial seeding of clams using the R-strategy for restoration was $78,340 lower than the current K-strategy restoration initiatives.

Benefits of Our Drone Application

Efficiency

Aerial drones can efficiently spread shellfish and underwater vegetation across large areas faster than other methods.

Reduced Labor

Our drones only require two people to operate which reduces cost and manual labor.

Precision

Using GPS and advanced controls, drones precisely seed areas, promoting healthy ecosystem restoration.

Adaptability

Our drones can be customized for diverse applications.

Environmental Protection

Our drones minimize disturbance to sensitive marine habitats compared to conventional seeding methods.

Remote Accessibility

Our drones can reach remote and hard access coastal and shallow areas quickly.

Data Collection

Our drones store detailed flight data, ensuring transparency.

Ecosystem Restoration

Our goal is to use drones for marine ecosystem restoration, benefiting biodiversity and coastal communities.
